What to pack in your Wedding Day emergency kit
Because smooth days are planned.. not wished for.
Let’s be honest, on your wedding day, you’ll have enough going on without worrying about a chipped nail, a blistered heel, or a lipstick that’s gone walkabout.
Enter the wedding day emergency kit.. your bridal day MVP. It’s the secret weapon every bride wishes she packed, but only the well-prepped ones actually do. And no, it’s not overkill. It’s peace of mind in a bag.
Here’s exactly what to pack to stay calm, gorgeous, and glowing no matter what happens:
Touchup essentials..
Because you’ll be hugging, crying, dancing and you still want to look fresh in every photo.
Mini deodorant or perfume spray (roll-ons are perfect)
Lipstick or gloss (in your wedding-day shade)
Pressed powder or blotting papers
Eyelash glue
Bobby pins & mini hairspray
Small smoothing brush
Nail file
Tissues (trust us, you’ll need them)
Makeup remover wipes or Q-tips
Pro tip: assign someone to carry a mini makeup bag and meet you for touch-ups post-ceremony.
Health & Safety first..
For the just-in-case moments because small hiccups don’t have to become disasters.
Plasters (blister and clear)
Mini sewing kit (for rogue buttons or broken bustles - fun story my wedding planner actually had to sew up the gusset of my wedding dress during the party because it ripped)
Painkillers (paracetamol or ibuprofen)
Stain remover pen
Mini scissors or safety pins
Breath mints or travel toothbrush
Body tape (because we don’t want any n*p slips in the photos)
Immodium (nervous tummy can get to everyone)
If you’re wearing new shoes, try to break them in beforehand and pop blister pads in your bag just in case.
Calm & Comfort
Little touches that keep you feeling like your best self.
Phone charger or portable power bank
Snacks (protein bar, nuts, dried fruit) – especially if you forget to eat!
Water bottle – hydration is the real glow-up
Tampons or liners – even if you’re not expecting to need them
The Grown-Up Bits
You probably won’t need them… but if you do, you’ll be glad they’re within reach.
The rings (incase it wasn’t obvious)
Copy of your vows (printed or screenshot on your phone)
Vendor contact sheet
Copy of the timings of the day
Cash or tip envelopes for vendors
The Bag
Choose something compact that is easy to organise, a clear pouch or a mini bridal tote.
Ask your maid of honour, planner, or a sibling to keep it close by. You shouldn’t be carrying it, but you’ll want it nearby.
